The weekend is almost here! To kickoff the weekend I have another blogger to introduce you to as part of my guest blogging series “Around The World With I Am Meg”. You can catch up on the series here. You can spend some time to learn about all the awesome bloggers and daydreaming of all the awesome places they will be introducing you to! Carin from Mrscpkc will be sharing her love for her hometown of Washington, DC. There is so much to do and see in DC that she is going to be your guide to one of her favorite places National Harbor!
Carin loves DC because it allows you to enjoy the hustle and bustle of a big city but also offers an easy escape to the serene suburbs with a quick drive. Carin has also lived in Pensacola, FL and Virginia Beach, VA so she is obviously a east coast girl! Carin has stayed close to the US, only visiting Cancun, Mexico for her 30th birthday. However she hopes to reverse this trend soon and has plans to see more of the world in the next few years. At the top of her list is Costa Rica, Aruba, Bahamas, and Dubai… quite a diverse set of countries! The place she would most like to visit is Paris and her reasoning is pretty cute… she said:
I have always wanted to see the Eiffel Tower ever since watching Superman II when I was a child.
Carin blogs about family, life, parenting and relationships. She has her hands full as a mother of three ages 16, 10, and 6… I know what I was like at 16 and so I really feel sorry for Carin! She definitely deserves a trip to Paris! On top of parenting and blogging she also works full-time in addition to running an administrative consulting business… busy, busy, busy! With all of that on her plate it isn’t surprising she is addicted to coffee! She also loves to eat (me too!) and has an obsessive interest in self-development.
I can’t wait to see what Carin has to say about National Harbor in DC. I have been to DC twice and it is one of my favorite cities. My middle brother moved to DC after graduation a few years ago and I have not been since he moved there so we plan to go in the next year or so to visit him. I don’t think I have actually been to National Harbor so that will have to go onto our list of things to do!
